Jolien Derksen (1991) completed the Bachelor Dutch Law and obtained her Master’s degree in Dutch private law at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she worked as a court clerk at the District Court of Central Netherlands. After her studies, Jolien worked for a year as a legal officer at one of the major law firms. After that, Jolien worked for three years as a lawyer at an Amsterdam niche firm, where she litigated and advised in the field of financial liability law and corporate law.
Jolien was a member of the board of the Amsterdam Young Bar Association from 2018 to 2020, the last year of which as chairman.
Since September 2020, Jolien is working with Wiersma Mensonides, where she advises and litigates on aspects of finance law, security rights, property law and insolvency law.
