Carmen van Orsouw (1987) completed the Bachelor Dutch Law and obtained her Master`s degree in Dutch private law at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. After her study Carmen worked a number of years as inhouse-lawyer at the special asset management department of Rabobank Nederland where she advised in the fields of insolvencies, security rights and seizures.

Since May 2016 Carmen is working with Wiersma Mensonides, where she advises and litigates on aspects of finance law, security rights, property law, insolvency law and trade law.

Carmen van Orsouw has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Contract Law

Based on this registration, Carmen is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
